i need help in understanding what is in this pic i am new to the voice/IP field and still facing some issues regarding the adding license and configuring the elements thanks in advance ...

Cisco UC has CUWL (multiple devices assigned to 1 user) or Cisco UCL. UCL licenses had different licenses for different device types. In the pic you purchased a quantity of devices 8811 and 7821. The 7821 required Enhanced and the 8811 required Basic UCL licenses. There is also Enhanced Plus (2 devices associated to 1 user) and essential for things like analog devices. When the order is placed for the device and licenses a PAK is issued that will match the quantity of licenses ordered. You 'redeem' the PAK for a license file at www.cisco.com/go/license (or by opening a case with Cisco licensing) then you upload the license file to your license manager if it is for CUCM, Unity Connection IM&P or Emergency Responder.  Those apps will 'retrieve' licenses from the  License Manager (Enterprise/Prime name changes depending on release). ELM/PLM might be accessed by going to the IP address of your CUCM then clicking the license manager link or it may have been installed as a standalone and will have it's own address. If you connect to the LM at the CUCM IP address but don't see the apps connected to it you probably have a standalone. You also have a PAK in the picture for Expressway. Other apps may allow you to add the license file directly to the application Contact Center eXpress or Expressway for example. UC license files are usually cumulative...so if you have two license files...1 for 10 users and 1 for 20 (of the same type) you should be able to add 30 of that device/user type. UCL allows you to borrow a license from a license level above what you are adding. If you have 10 enhanced licenses and 10 basic licenses but 5 only Enhanced users/devices and 10 basic devices then add another basic it will 'borrow' an enhanced...when another basic license is added it will use that license and 'release' the enhanced license back to the license pool.  You cannot combine 2 lower level licenses for an upper level device and an upper level device cannot borrow from a level below itself. If you search dwf on the community you may be able to pull up a licensing presentation from 2012 that covered many aspects of licensing as it was at that time. Not sure if it requires partner level access. There are other posts on the community for Prime License Manager and so on....

but i have another question there so many license shall all of them will be installed or i will add license for the devices and the rest will be installed automatically and what are they used for ??? !

No all licenses don't have to be installed, you would install what you purchase.

What version of CUCM are you running? There have been alot of changes once you upgrade to 12.x and above.

Your image shows CUCM version 10 "User Connect Licensing",  5 Enhanced and 25 Basic.   All these need to be installed on your PLM.  With CUCM versions 9 and later you normally just get one PAK which would activate all the licences on that order.

What do you have installed at the moment?  Go to your PLM and look at Licenses / Usage
