Hello,
We are trying to integrate Lync 2010 and CUP 8.6.3 server for IM using SIP INTERdomain federeation. Our CUP user sees the Lync presence information without issues and can send message. Our Lync user cannot initiate a conversation and cannot see presence info from the CUP user but, it can carry on a conversation once it is started by CUP user. Our 2 domains are:
voip.company.com (CUP)
ad.company.com (Lync)
So users from the CUP side get user1@voip.company.com and so on.
Any help is much appriciated.
Thanks

Yes, they are. A full 2 way conversation can be had as long as teh conversation is started by a jabber user. The lync side doesn't see the presence status of the jabber user at any point though.
