Unity 4.0.4sr1 on W2k3 UM with Exchange 2003 & CCM 4.0.1
On some user workstations when they click to play a message back via the MMB they are prompted for a username, password & domain. Any ideas?
Cheers,

Is this with VMO or PCA?
Check the Security Log in the Event Viewer on the Unity box. See if there are any failed audits.
Also, turn on micro traces for the Authentication Manager. You might find some clues there.

All subs are on the same domain hence my confusion! If the user tries to play a message via outlook VMO it asks for authentication, but they can log onto CiscoPCA ok so their credentials must match with the subscriber account, but the same thing happens when they try to use the MMB in PCA. Odd.
I imported 8 pilot users via AD at the same time, all on the same domain. 6 work fine. 2 are prompting for username, password & domain. Strange. The customer assures me that all desktop builds are identical.
I dunno what else to check on Unity or the client side?
I checked the security log & didn't see any corresponding failures.
I'll checkout those traces when onsite again tomorrow.
Thanks.

Does the auth dialog box go away when you provide the user's credentials or does it not accept the credentials at all?
Another thing you should find out is if this is a PC issue or a user account issue. Pick a PC, log on to PCA using a good account and make sure it works as expected. Then, log out of PCA and login using a problematic account and see if the issue exists. If it does, then it is a user account issue.

Yeah the dialog box stays when I put in the users credentials.
I'll try that user account test.
Thanks for the tip.

How do I view the Authentication Manager micro traces? Under which service are they logged?
Thanks,
