Migration from On-prem to DI: strategies

there is requirement to migrate entire data from On prem CUCM cluster(Mega cluster with 18 Node) to a DI  cluster. Few Names in Global Config. will change and Local config. will most likely remain same. what would be the best approach to take this forward. Due to cost constrains Customer already eliminated the route of third party application such as wrangler.

If you don’t want to use a 3:rd party tool like Wrangler that I do think would be the recommended option by Cisco your only option, apart from recreating existing configuration manually, would be bulk export and import. This as you probably know has its challenges as it’s not always as easy as taking the export and importing it. Likely you’d need to do quite a bit of work on the export and multiple trial and error tests to get the import to run error free. In the end my guess is that this would likely be a more expensive process for your customer than using Wrangler.

your comment is totally understandable. at a time tried to convince the customer as well as our leadership, unfortunately we had to take a route which will be extensive and prone to error.
