Hi everybody
I need some help, i need install a new platform of unity v8 whith failover but the coustomer has a unity v4.2.1 whithout failover and they want to conserve the actual voicemail configuration, the question...... DIRT works to do this migration? What considerations i need to know?

Hello,
A good number of customers are now using COBRAS.
I suggest you look at the following site to learn about this option:

In this case COBRAS would allow you to take backup of 4.2.1 and restore directly onto Unity 8.x box.
Suggest you can watch Video 1, 2 and 3 to learn more about this option.
Also here is the Help file for Cobras. Also take a look at what COBRAS does not backup just so you are aware. Generally these are not show stoppers but things to be aware of.

Otherwise if you went with DIRT you would have to build a 4.2.1 box and restore the DIRT backup you took. Then you would still need to go through upgrade to 8.0 version.
