just a quick note to let folks know I'm going to be cycling back to the dedicated tools mode that I used to do a couple years ago. I've gotten many emails from folks asking where I've gone and why tools updates have been less frequent etc⦠Short version is I've been running the conversations team for the Linux based Connection product for the last couple years and it's kept me pretty busy. But with the release of Connection 7.0 recently I'm handing the keys over and jumping back into full time tools development - which makes me happy. Management is a necessary function but not what I aspire to do with my days if I can help it.
So - you'll start seeing more Connection 7.x+ based tools showing up and I'll also be stomping around out here on the forums a bit more.
For those of you who aren't signed up for the mail server updates on http://www.CiscoUnityTools.com, here's today's notice:
=======================
Updated Cisco Unity Performance Information and Diagnostics (CUPID) tool on the Unity 4.x/5.x/7.x tools page:
http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_CUPID.htm
Updated the Advanced Settings Tool on the Unity 4.x/5.x/7.x tools page:
http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_AdvancedSettingsTool.htm
Added new beta version of the Wallet Card Wizard on the Connection 7.x tools page:
http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_CUC_WalletCardWizard.htm
Added new beta version of Bulk User Delete on the Connection 7.x tools page:
http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_CUC_BulkUserDelete.htm
What's next:
- In the next couple weeks all versions of COBRAS export and import will be updated. This will include support for interview handlers, additional subscriber properties, support for Domino public distribution list membership export, bug fixes and a number of user interface changes based on early feedback from the field. This is a significant set of updates and will mean exports done with earlier versions of the tool will no longer be supported, so plan accordingly. Archives of earlier versions of the import tools will be kept on the site for folks needing to do restores of backups done with older versions.
- The Bulk User Delete tool (link above) will get a "report mode" to get a fully fleshed out list of references to selected users in human readable format. I've gotten numerous requests for this over the last few weeks.
- A version of Audio Text Manager (ATM) is in the works for Connection 7.x. This will be a simplified version of the existing Unity for Windows version of ATM but it will grow over time. I'm looking for early beta testers to provide feedback on the UI and prioritize the feature set. If you're interested, email me directly: lindborg at cisco dot com.

Good stuff!
Welcome back Jeff! It's great to have the Squadron Leader back in the fold. I've always felt that the suite of tools that you provided @ Unity Tools was the best available anywhere within the Cisco product line. So having you working on them full time bodes very well for all of the Administrators out here running Unity and Unity Connection!
I should also take a moment to thank you and all the other Engineers involved for your great work on UC 7.0. I really think that the improvements that have been made to this product are nothing short of phenomenal. Really, really a superior system that will, no doubt, be well received by all who use it. We love it!!
Cheers!
