If you need to configure Music on Hold on Callmanager, follow the below steps
1. First we need to upload the WAV file to CUCM. This is done under Media Resources > MOH Audio File Management. By default CUCM comes with a good copyright free MOH file
2. Click the Upload File button
(Uploading the file can take some time as this not only uploads the file, but it also convertd the file into all the necessary codecs as well. Cisco does not recommend performing this action in a live environment during normal business hours as CUCM dedicates all the resources for this task and can affect the call performance of the network.)
3.Once the File is uploaded and ready,we need to configure an MOH audio source. This is done by going to Media Resources > Music On Hold Audio Source
4.Click Add New
5.You'll able to configure the MOH audio stream number, audio source name, multicast and repeat play back settings.
6.Now you'll need to enable the MOH server by going to Media Resources > Music On Hold Server.
MoH server can be configured either as a unicast or a multicast server. Multicast configuration conserves both server resources and the bandwidth as it has to play only a single audio stream, whereas in unicast each held call requires a separate audio stream.
The music files we use for the MoH server should be in the format of .WAV and Cisco recommends them to possess some additional characteristics too.
Sample rate should be 8, 16, 32, 48 Khz
Can be stereo or mono
16bit PCM WAV
