I installed Unity 4.0(4) with Domino(6.5.2) integraiton. DUCS 1.2.2
The MWI lights ON when new VM delivered and OFF when delete the VM from Domino client or TUI, but stay ON when I read the VM.
In the Domino "MonitorTest" tool, I only can see "MoveIn" and "Delete" event and nothing when I read the VM. I reinstalled csServer in the Domino server but no luck.
Any idea why not works the MWI when I read the VM ?
Thanks,

First step would be to determine if Unity is getting the notification that the change was made on Notes/Domino side. You would have to turn on Macro Traces for MWI. Get the diag_AvMsgStoreMonitor and AvCsMgr log for the time u are testing.
Also check the app logs to see if there are any events during the time u marked the message as read on Notes.
If you want to post the logs, I'll take a peek at it.

I need to see the diag_AvMsgStoreMonitor. Is CN=Jan Duff xt 2208? The avcsmgr shows a mwi dialout for xt 2208 but I don't know if this the correct one.
Device Specific Command SetMWI succeeded [Parameters: DestAddress 2208

Thanks Hinho,
Follows my scenario,
1. start micro trace with enable the components for MWI
2. call to DN2208(Jan Duff) and left VM. at this time MWI ON successfully. I think the trace show this event
3. at the Domino Client, read the VM and changed the color to black from red(means change the flag to read status from new). theoretically, MWI must OFF at this time but stay ON.
4. stop the micro trace and gathered.
As you can see from "MonitorTest", nothing happen when read the VM at Domino client(only shows "MoveIn" for new VM). I'm not familiar to the trace but I think it only detect the MWI ON to notify new VM and nothing when read. If I delete, successfully OFF the MWI. Is it mean DUCS cannot notify the read event ?
I'm not handy diag_AvMsgStoreMonitor. Any known case or suggestion for cannot notify the read event ?

the diag_AvMsgStoreMonitor* log is in the commserver\logs folder. Unity "sees" the notification and logs it here. I need to see if Domino is sending it.

Hello,
When a voice message is read from the Notes client, Lotus DUC does *not* send a notification to Unity, so there is no change in the MWI light on the phone. Although this may not be what you want, it is expected behavior (at least by Lotus :-). I don't know what the technical reason is for this behavior, I just know that we don't consider it a defect.

We have the same setup and opening a message will turn off the MWI. It is my understanding that Notes needs to be in control of the UCUnseen field.
First, make sure that your Notes accounts do not have the option checked to "View Unread". This will affect the ability of Notes to remove the UCUnseen field.
Finally, i would make sure that the DUCS client was installed on all PC's that you are using; and that you created or updated these users' mailfiles with a designer who has the proper version of DUCS installed as well.
Hope it helps. I can walk you through the notes configuration in more detail if you need it.

Hi Jan,
Thanks for setting the record straight. You are absolutely right, if you run the DUCS csClient on the user's mail file, then DUCS sends a "change count" notification when the user reads the message via Notes, which will result in the MWI light on the phone going off if that was the only new voice message in the user's mail file.
What I was thinking of was in the Notes client if a user marks a message as read or unread via the Edit > Unread Marks menu, then that does not change the MWI status on the phone. Sorry for the confusion.
