5.1 vm-only unity. messaging and mwi's work correctly. when i try to play/record a callhdlr greeting, unity says "no ports are available on voice server for out calls"
ports are all registered
ran digit analyzer for call from port to phone and it says it "routes"
any ideas would be apprecieated

Do you have enough VM ports in call manager to match the number of VM ports licensed by unity?

Hi Rob -
Make sure you have some Unity ports checked for TRaP connection, which are used for telephone record and playback.

As Ginger said, check the TRAP setting is checked to dial out on. But mostly I find is restrictions in the dialing. Unity can not dial out if the restrictions table does not allow Unity to dial a particular number. You have to allow Unity to dial xxxx.

thanks all for the quick responses.
trap is checked on every port.
restriction tables have the defaults with * = allow as last choice. all others are the dial 9 stuff.
A opened a tac case and it was resolved. tac found in sql unity db > subscriber table that the unityinstaller had the wrong switch intergration number. Had 0 and it should have been 2. Once that was changed, it started working.
Do not know how it got like that nor what it had to do with the dial-out.
