PCD "No network connection to the node."

Dear colleagues,

We are currently trying to migrate CUCM from 8.6.2.21900-5 to 10.0.1.12900-2 using Prime Collaboration Deployment.

As seems to be pre-requisite, we enabled DNS and the PCD can resolve properly its own name and both old CUCM names and new CUCM names (despite not being able to ping because the new VMs need to be shutdown prior to the migration task).

However, we are getting the error "No network connection to the node" after around 1hour it supposedly starts the new CUCM installation.

I appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

Thanks!

Andre

PCD version being used is 10.5.2

Hi,

login into PCD  through CLI if we could get any logs related to error. Most probably, seems to be connectivity issue.

file get activelog tomcat/logs/ucmap/log4j/*

Hi Aman,

We didn´t think so, as they were in the same subnet.

Anyway, we realised that PCD was not building the NFS datastore to put the ISO into, so the CUCM VMs weren´t booting up properly.

Once we manually added the DS, it worked, no connectivity issues found, and the process went just smooth. Don´t know what happened with the PCD -> ESXi communication though.

Hi andcastro,

We having same issue here, can you describe how exactly you added DS?

Thankyou

I mean, we added the ISO image into the VM drive
