Process ciscocm.preUpgradeCheck-00024.cop blocks the installation subsystem CUCM

I have a small gap. During execution ciscocm.preUpgradeCheck-00024.cop, SecureCRT lost connection to the server. I solve this at night by restoring the entire VM from the backup. But maybe you know less radical ways

P.S. This is some kind of vicious circle, a penny file blocks the installation subsystem completely. Reboot doesn't help

I would say that the recommendation for you would be to reach out to TAC to get help to resolve the locked file from root access instead of restoring the VM from DRS.

Hi Roger

Not DRS )), from Veeam VM backup, virtual machine recovery takes no more than 15 minutes, and communication with TAC can take half your life

Bug ID  CSCvq22312 is similar  but not the same case as yours and not the same version.

I would recommend to open a TAC, if its critical raise the case  Priority.

How do Veem make the backup of the VM?

I do acknowledge that it could take a bit of time with TAC at time, but for the most it’s not my experience. They do have the customers best in mind and wants to be as helpful as possible.

Im using Veeam Backup & Replication 10 (Enterprise Plus license) with multinodes and multi datastories VMware vSphere 6.7 and daily back up the entire virtual machines (CUCM Pub and SUB, IM&P PUB and SUB, UCCX, Expressway-C and E, Cisco Meeting Server with Cisco Meeting Management, CUC) to HDD Library
