Re-IP addressing CUCM Publisher and rest

Hi,

I am working on a plan to move following devices to a new DC along with CUBE. I have seen the documentation about re-ip addressing various servers including CUCM and the re-licensing element. Are there any other gotchas I should be aware of?

Let me know if anybody has done similar work before so that I can learn from your valuable experience .

CUCN Publisher
CUPS Publisher
Prime Licensing Manager

Hi Atul,

As per the PLM user guide "If the hostname or IP address of the product instance changes, you need to delete the product instance from the Cisco Prime License Manager prior to changing the hostname/IP address. You then re-add it to the Cisco Prime License Manager once you have completed the hostname/IP address change."

Hi Atul,

Following the documented procedure should help in successfully completing the re-ip task, however a proactive TAC case is always a good option to minimise downtime in case of any issues during or after the re-ip task ( like "A Cisco DB" service not starting , Database communication error while trying to login with new ip etc ).

Thanks Manish. The procedure looks very straightforward however it doesn't say anything about re-licensing the cluster? Do I need do anything specific with Prime Licensing Manger which is on same server ? I.e. The pub
