Scenario
- Customer currently has an exiting CM cluster version 5.1.3, Unity Connection 2.0. They are interested in upgrading. Upgrade to 10.x using the GCSC Simple.
- They also initially wanted to deploy another remote site after the initial upgrade. Simple.
- They recently came back to me asking if they can deploy the remote site first, then add on the existing site. Not so simple
My question is rehosting the licenses. Is this possible and how would this process work.
1. Deploy the new site. Build 1 BE6K server and new licenses (the new publisher will be built at the existing site w/ connectivity to remote site)
2. Purchase the GCSC licenses for the existing site
3. Run the LCU tool and acquire new licenses
4. Call licensing and have the new licenses GCSC licenses added to the rehosted to the new cluster
5. Deploy a subscriber BE6K at the secondary site
Will Licensing allow me to rehost the Get Current Stay Current licenses onto the new cluster as add on licenses?
