Hi,
A single drive in a RAID 5 virtual drive (8 HDD) failed on my UCS-C210-M2.
I have to replace it with a new drive.
Can you confirm me I can eject the failed disk hot-plug and install the new on after ?
Does the disk will be rebuilt automatically in the RAID 5 virtual drive ?
Regards,
Davy

Hi,
That's why they are hot swappable. Anyway it is better to do out-of hours so disks won't be busy during RAID rebuild operation.

I have such a similar challenge. Mine is Raid 5 and one of the Raided Disk went failed.
I have replaced the disk but the disk status both from CLI and CIMC still shows failled after 42 hours.
My UCS is UCS c210m2 with firmware version of 1.3(c)
Does it means there is no autorebuild?
Or do I have to do something else?
Is there any way to view the progress of the rebuilding progress?
Your response will be highly appreciated
