RTMT | CUCM email notification when backup completes not working

Hello All,


I would like your support with troubleshooting the following issue;



I would like that an email notification to send everytime cucm completes or fails the backup process;

I did configure it just like it was told here:


Also, I've configured the alert to be sent to my email server as well:


  1. Choose System > Tools > Alert > Config Email Server.
  2. Enter the hostname of the mail server in the Mail Server field, and enter the port number in the Port field (25).
  3. Enter the e-mail ID that you would like to get the emails from.

Still, for some reason, when the backup is completed I still don't receive any emails from the RTMT.

Could you please help me on how to troubleshoot this issue?

The mail server probably isn’t accepting unauthenticated SMTP relay from the CUCM server IP addressses. Check the mail server logs or run a packet capture on CUCM filtered to the mail server IP address and see what happens to the SMTP transaction.
