I am attempting to share one extension (2001) on both SIP and SCCP phones using call manager express.
7940 (SIP): with 2 lines
1. ext. 2001
2. ext. 2003
7965 (SCCP): with 2 lines
1. ext. 2001
2. ext. 2004
IPC (SCCP): with 2 lines
1. ext. 2001
2. ext. 2005
It seems when an incoming call comes from my Service Provider's sip trunk, it'll ring the 2001 on the dial peer to register last (So sometimes SCCP, sometimes SIP).
If I dial 2001 from the SIP phone it'll ring on the SIP device, if I dial 2001 from a SCCP phone, it'll ring on the SCCP phones. I'm attempting to get it to ring on all 3 devices. Am I missing something?

Did you done the below after configuring shared lines?

Yes, have a voice register global that looks like:
voice register global
mode cme
source-address 10.0.0.9 port 5060
timeouts interdigit 5
max-dn 200
max-pool 42
load 7960-7940 P0S3-8-12-00
timezone 8
voicemail 2000
tftp-path flash:
create profile sync 0001157440423421
auto-register
!
And have done the following
telephony-service
create profile
voice register global
create cnf
Both Dial Peers are up up
TAG TYPE MIN OPER PREFIX DEST-PATTERN FER THRU SESS-TARGET STAT PORT KEEPALIVE VRF
20003 pots up up 2001$ 0 50/0/99 NA <--------------- SCCP dial peer
40001 voip up up 2003$ 0 syst ipv4:10.0.0.100:5060 NA
40002 voip up up 2001$ 0 syst ipv4:10.0.0.100:5060 NA <-- SIP dial peer
SIP Phone shows as registered:
show voice register pool 1
Total SIP phones registered: 1

Found the solution here:
"SIP shared-line directory numbers are not supported by the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7902, 7920, 7931, 7940, or 7960, or by analog phones connected to the Cisco VG224."
I was waiting for someone to say, why don't you just convert it to SCCP. Well the reason for that was I was recreating an environment in a Lab.
So now i'm going to reverse the setup, the 7940 is going to be SCCP (and IPC) and the 7965 will be SIP.

Hope reversing the setup would work.
I have done with 78XX and 79XX.
