Is it possible to utilize SMS with UC1.2? We would like to be able to have our monitoring system send an email thru UC1.2 and fwd to our cellphones for oncall duty. That way we don't have to have a pager and hand it off to each other every week.
If you have access to an SMS Center (SMSC) then it can be done. Please see "Setting Up SMS (SMPP) Message Notifications" in the "Cisco Unity Connection System Administration Guide, Release 1.x" for more information.
Please keep in mind that UC 1.2 is end of support by Cisco. I'd definitely recommend upgrading it at your earliest possible convenience.
