We have Unity Connection 7.0 and have enabled speech connect via a speech enabled directory handler. If a caller ask's to be connected to a user and let's say for example requests someone that is not on the system then the system reports that it can't find the user and continously announces the same message ' who would you like to reach' - it never breaks out of this and users usually hang up. We want to set this up so that after so many attempts the system routes the call to lets say the operator , it will do it if the caller presses 0 but the system does not announce this. Version 8 allows your own recording so we can direct callers more practically.

Make sure you are on the latest release for 7.x. They have a ton of issues with the voice reg software on CUC 7.x. I had nonstop issues on earlier versions until I upgraded. Even though they may not have recorded their name, CUC should still pull up their account.

Tommer, thanks for the reply. I think your right, this is a very early version of Connection 7.0x - I will check whether we can upgrade and see what enhancements come through. I'm pretty certain on other versions the system eventually gives and announces an option to put you through to the operator(probably via opening greeting)....Cheers... jaginder
