Hi Everyone,

in my project I have two voice gateways (one is connect to SIP line and already configured with CUCM, and another Voice gateway connect to alnalog lines from SP and I need to make it as standby (hot-standby) if VG of SIP go down the VG of analog line will take over).

Can any one help me or give me a link about how to make this possibility!

Thanks for all.

Mohammad Saeed

I am assuming you want to use these analog lines for outbound calling should the SIP go down? If so, create the second GW as another GW/trunk in CUCM and add to the outbound route list/route group.

Hi Chris,

many thanks for you, but Do I need to make any thing in voice GW ? actually I am fresh with that and I want to know more.

Yes, you need to configure it with specific configuration to allow control of the voice ports and the configs varies depending on what voip protocol you are using, i.e. SIP/H323/MGCP. If SIP/H323 you need to build dial-peers to point to the POTS lines and to/from CUCM.
