a month ago, I’ve upgraded UCCE at a customer. I did a technology refresh upgrade from version 8.5 to version 10.5. After the upgrade, the customer decided to test newer UCCE before going to production and keep using UCCE 8.5 for a while, just to be sure all functions they use work well on the new UCCE.
At the day of migration, we are going to change configuration of VGWs and all (production) calls will be routed to new ICM. Our customer needs the whole HDS database to be migrated to new UCCE during the migration, so they will have whole HDS migrated to new system.
Do you have such experience?
My expectation is:
1) make Loggers write all data to HDS
2) run EDMT to upgrade database schema
3) sync HDS db v.10.5 with database from 2)
It's not needed to keep the tested calls in HDS 10.5, that were done on UCCE10.5 while UCCE8.5 was in production.
