Unable to forward saved voicemails to other subscribers

Unity version is 3.1(5) with Exchange 2000.

Existing subscibers are unable to forward their saved voicemails to other, newer, unity subscribers. The newer unity subscribers are setup just like the working subscribers, with the same template and CoS. So Subscriber A listens to a voicemail, Presses 5 to forward, presses ## to forward to a known extn number, then hears error message: "The user recipient email address does not exist".

I have already confirmed those recipient subscribers are configured and present in AD, also confirmed they are present under exchange system manager.

Ive deleted and recreated those recipient subscribers again, but still cant forward voicemails to them.

Hi -

Here is something to check. In AD Users and Computers, check the E-mail Addresses Tab for the new subscribers. Is there an SMTP address in there. If not, create one and click on the button "Set as Primary". You should also see this box checked "Automatically update email addresses based on recipient policy."
