I've inherited a Unity 4.0(1) system. It's running voicemail only, no UM.
I'm looking to export the users to a Unity Connection 8.5 system.
I'd like to export usernames, extensions, PINs and existing voicemails. Anything else can be lost.
I can see that COBRAS would require an upgrade to 4.0(3) but I'm reluctant to upgrade.
I'm told by someone who was involved in an aborted upgrade attempt a few years ago that system blue screened and had to be restored.
What are my options? If any.

Andy,
If you want to use COBRAS, you'd need to get to version 4.0(3) or later. Generally speaking, I would probably avoid this not necessarily because of any past history but because the software is well beyond end of life and end of support. In other words, the risk may not be worth the "reward"; however, that's just my point of view. You could position Unity Connection 8.5 as a new install. You could still leave connectivity to the legacy system intact for a period of time after Unity Connection is online so that users can still access legacy messages, if needed.
