Hello,
We are currently running multiple Unity clusters worldwide and they are all voice mail only with dedicated Exchange 2000 mailstores for each cluster. These mailstores server voice mail accounts only. The company does use exchange 2003 as the corporate messaging platform. The Unity partner exchange 2000 mailstore servers do co-exist in the same AD structure as the corporate mailstore servers. The corporate exchange environment is currently running in Exchange mixed mode. They are going to be switching to exchange 2003 native mode.
Question:
Will this change affect our Unity partner exchange servers at all? Will we need to reset any services on our Unity partner exchange servers for this change?

Hi -
Exchange 2003 native mode includes Exchange 2000 servers. Only Exchange 5.X servers are not allowed in this mode. I don't think this is going to be a problem for your Unity servers with Exchange 2000 onbox. If you were in a unified messaging configuration with subscriber mailboxes on Exchange 2003, then the recommendation is to have Unity partner with Exchange 2003. Thanks for the response Ginger,
Sounds like we will be fine since we use E2K.
