Unity 8 and domain/forest functional level compatibility

Michael Hughes
Level 1
Level 1

We currently have Unity 8 with server 2008 DCs. Our Forest functional level is at 2003 and Domain functional level at 2008R2. We have one 2012 DC (no roles) and need to upgrade everything to 2012R2 DCs and raise the Forest/Domain functional levels.

We are now trying to determine if Unity 8 will have any issues with migrating all the DCs to 2012r2 and raising the functional levels to 2012.

Any help or documentation links would be appreciated!

Nothing beyond 2008 was tested by Cisco, you would turn your system into a not supported deployment by doing that, and would be on your own for support, and to find out if the source of any issue is the upgrade to 2012

We have officially not tested that, so there is no way to tell you if you'll face any kind of issues, or not.

Apart from what Jamie has said, Unity 8 will go out of support next month end.
