Hi all,
I have Unity 7.02 Integrated with CUCM. when I am calling Unity I am not able to hear the greeting.
I would like to add these notes:
1- Unity and CUCM in the same subnet.
2- I am able to send DTMF to unity I saw this in port monitor tool.
3- If I tried to play the greeting from an extension the selected extension will ring but I will not be able to hear.
4- It seems like One way talking, I used tool I think it is (sound stat in unity tools) and it show me that there is incoming voice but no out going)
Thanks in advanced.

Hi,
Since you're running Unity on a version of Windows, I would recommend getting Wireshark installed on Unity and run a packet capture during your test. Then you should be able to save out the RTP stream into a .wav file to listen to confirm if you are having a 1 way audio issue. Here's a quick article about that: http://wiki.wireshark.org/RTP_statistics I would also recommend double checking your NIC configuration on Unity to ensure it's hard coded to at least 100Mbps full duplex and in fault tolerance mode only (if you have a team). You don't want network load balance option which can cause this type of symptom. Also make sure the switch on the other end is hard coded to the same speed/duplex so that there are no negotiation issues.
Hope that helps,
Brad

One-Way audio is typically caused by a routing issue. If you are resolving server names via hostname, check your DNS resolution by pinging hostnames. There may be a conflict here. Also, if you are using IP addresses to communicate between servers check for a default gateway discrepancy or IP duplication.
From a low-level explanation, your RTP (voice) packets are taking a different path to the destination and they were given the wrong directions to get there.

Hi,
If I understand you correctly, you can see the DTMF info in the port status monitor when you press any digit. But what I would like to know is that if you see any info about any greeting being played in the Port Status Monitor.
Check the Application logs and see if there are any errors. This will give you more idea on what component is at fault and why.
Even better, you can collect the packet capture from the Unity to confirm that no RTP stream is being played from the unity side.
Probably a GUSI report may also be able to provide us with a little more of information about the Unity system. Please download the latest version of GUSI from the following link and collect the logs:
