Hi All,
I have downloaded Unity Connection demo license (dot lic) file from Cisco Web using UnityC MAC address. But when I am using ELM/PLM to install this file (dot lic) file, getting error message that " need zip file", can not install this file (dot lic).
Anybody knows how to install it without using Prime License Manager (PLM) or with PLM.
I need few licenses to test speech recognition for UnityC!
Thanks in advance...

Licensing on 10.x and above is ONLY handled via PLM, there is no other way.
Reach licensing@cisco.com so they can provide you the right licenses, most likely you asked for a pre 9.x license, that's why it's still a .lic, for 9.x+ you should get a .zip and when you extract, a .bin file.

Hi,
the licenses which u need to upload in UCXN 9 or above, would carry .bin extension and can only be done through PLM.
As rightly said by Jaime[+5], check with licensing team to get the correct licensing file.

Hi All,
As per attached doc "System Administration Guide for Cisco Unity Connection Release 11.x" on page 84 says: Speech Connect ports are no longer licensed and can be configured as per the hardware profile of the virtual machine deployed for installing Unity Connection"
Could you please tell me how to configure virtual machine for Unity Connection so that I don't need to install license file for Speech Connect?

Did you ever get this resolved?
We currently configured 24 Speech Connect ports on Unity Connection version 11.5, but ELM only shows 2 active speech connect licenses and is requiring 22 more licenses to become compliant.
