I am using Unity Connection 8.5. On the user search page, there is an option in the upper right drop down window to do bullk edit by CSV. I'd like to do a bulk edit, but don't want to select all the users as there are about 1000 users I want to update. The change I am making is to change the COS and the check the box on the using the corporate email as the proxy address. I'm thinking doing it from this page will be easier than doing it from the Bulk Admin Tool where I'd have to dump all users, update all the appropriate fields and then do the bulk change. I assume from the user search page, I'd just need to create a csv file with the users I want to update, then go into the screen that has the fields I want to update and make the change. Is this correct? I can't for the life of find any documentation on the Bulk Edit by CSV option. Even if I click on Help on this Page, I get a file not found. And my searches only come up with either doing the user selection or going to Bulk Admin Tool.
Can anyone help with:
Thanks!
Jill

Hi Jill,
Yes, you are definitely on the right track here
As a test here I tried the Bulk Edit and chose;
User with Voicemail > Users referenced in this CSV file > Next
This then allowed me to browse to an existing "basic" .csv that I had
used to create a test user recently when playing with BAT. In this .csv
I had one user named Bob Uncle with DN/ext 5126. So when I used this method
the Bulk Edit tool (smart puppy ) selected only Bob Uncle for my edit choices
and I was able to change the settings I wanted
It looks like this may be your best bet, try manipulating some test users to perfect
your methodology.
I have attached the test .csv I used
Cheers!

Thanks Rob! I had created a CSV with just the Alias, and that didn't work. I added the display name, first name, last name and phone number (but not all the fields from your CSV) and that worked. I might see if just alias and extension works. I appreciate your thorough response with a sample file. Just what I needed!
Thanks!
