Unity Connection Single Inbox with Exchange 2007 MWI Problem

I'm integrating Unity Connection 8.5 with Exchange 2007 using the single inbox feature.

When I leave a voicemail, an email with the attached .wav file is corectly delivered to the recipient's inbox - all ok so far.

The problem is that when the email is deleted from the Outlook Inbox, the MWI LED on the phone stays illuminated.

My understanding of this feature was that the Exchange/Unity mailboxes would be synchronised and that deletion from Outlook would cause the MWI to be turned off.

Exchange Version is 2007 SP2 - this is correct as per Cisco's software requirements.

Unity Connection Version is 8.5.1ES16.11900-168.5.1ES16.11900-16 - required version for single inbox as per Cisco documentation.

If anyone else has implemented this feature, I'd be grateful for their input.

Well, the customer has just informed me that in fact his Exchange 2007 server is running SP1 and not SP 2 as he first thought.

Single inbox synchronisation is not supported with SP1 so that explains my problem!
