Unity Connection to Exchange without ViewMail

Hello all I have been reading cisco documentation regarding the Unity Connection to Exchange 2010 integration.  Currently, running Unity and Lotus notes.  In the current environment voicemails left in Unity are also delivered to Notes.  If the messages are checked in notes the MWI turns off on the phone and if the message is deleted from Unity the message is deleted from Notes, this is the current ideal setup.

In the past I have worked in an Unity Connection 7.x and Exchange 2007 environment.  When Unity Connection was setup to relay the messages to Exchange the MWI would not light on the phone.  The only way you would know that you had a voicemail was to keep an eye on your outlook inbox.

In CUCM/Unity Connection 8.X and exchange 2010 are you able to send voicemails to your inbox while activating your MWI?  Can this be setup as a seemless communications between platforms?  Example, listen to voicemail in unity connection causes outlook message to show as unread, deleting voicemail in unity connection deletes the voicemail from outlook?  Listening to voicemail in outlook turns off MWI on phone and deleting message from outlook deletes the message from Unity?  If so, can this be accomplished without installing viewmail on the workstations?

Thanks,

Han

Yes, Single Inbox feature allows full message synchronization between UCXN and Exchange 2003/2007/2010.
