When using Unity Failover you need to have an account that both servers use as well as you cannot have SQL service start as Local Machine.
Question is, what permissions exactly does the Failover account need in the domain and on the local machine, as well as the domain and local permissions needed by the service that will start SQL?

my experience, the account (for both) needs simply to be a domain account, have rights to run as a service on the local box, and be a member of the Local Administrators group. You can conveniently re-use one of the service accounts for this if you want...
