Hi,
I've a client with Unity version = 8.0(3.1) - HA Setup intergrated with Exchange 2003 (Partner exchange) and 2010. AD version is 2008.
They are intermittenly getting the following error under Event Viewer:

The MAPI subsystem has indicated that the Global Catalog Server MIGC3001.na.corp.MKN.com which is used to resolve addresses for message submission cannot be reached, and that it has switched to using Global Catalog server MIGC3002.na.corp.MKN.com. Unity will continue to function using this newly selected Global Catalog server and will not automatically switch back to the original one. If Unity does not have a dedicated connection with sufficient bandwidth to the newly selected server, then there may be significant delays in Exchange access by Unity. Please verify that Unity has a good connection to the new Global Catalog for proper functioning.

There are no issues observed but we are curious to know if it could be an issue with the system which may cause unnecessary outages.
DC/GC are co-resident. Domain administrator has confirmed there is no issue with either of their DC/GC servers and both Exchange servers are also working fine.
Rechability to DC/GC and Exchagne servers are fine. DNS is also working fine and there is no firewall in between Unity and DC/GC / Exchange servers.
I noticed the following error in Unity system info, not sure if it is relevant:
MAPI Provider : *ERROR* - Unsupported - Both CDO & Exchange Tools Detected
If I go to Unity Add / Remove Programs, the MAPI and CDO version shows in 1.2.1.

Not the solution, but if someone can clarify under what conditions I can get the following error and what are few things I can check to fix this, that will be great.

Hi Kapil,
This is generally seen if the you have MAPI CDO installed and the Exchange System Manager has not uninstalled Successfully.
A few possible reasons for this problem:
1)Uninstallation on Exchange System Manager or installation of MAPI CDO was done using Microsoft Remote Desktop.
2)There are some leftover dlls of the of the Exchange System Manager in the Unity servers.
Things that you can try to resolve this problem:
++ Use VNC Session to uninstall/install Exchange System Manager and MAPI CDO.
++ Make sure there is no emsabp32.dll and emsmdb32.dll file in the Windows\System32 directory.
++ Windows\system32\mapi32.dll should be at version of 6.5.7654.9 or higher. Or still at version 1.x. Anything in between is no good.
