I am supporting UNity version 4.0.2 and it appears to have a memory leak, is there a way to correct this problem without rebooting this server. Currently have 1.00gig RAM and it is using 1.5gig

No - you can't release memory from a leak without restarting (if you could, we wouldn't have a memory leak).
There's been several memory/handle leak fixes in 4.0(3) and 4.0(4) - it may be worth looking into upgrading.
