We are in the process of migrating one of our customer from VM to UM but not sure how to migrate the users here is the scenario, customer currently has Exchange 2003, Unity 4.0.5 in mixed VM/UM licensing .
They are upgrading Exchange 2003 to 2007 but their Exchange 2003 server will be there till they migrate all the users and VM mailboxes to Exchange 2007 server.
Customer has built Unity 5.0 on new server with Exchange 2007 as partner server.
Now they have Unity 4 and 5 , for Unified users GSM worked great to move from 4.x to 5.x server but not sure how to migrate the VM only user from Unity 4.x Exchange 2003 to Unity 5.x Exchange 2007 server.
Hope I didn't confuse anyone.
Thanks for your help.

Hi -
Sorry this reply is a week out - just saw your post today. This tool may already be on your Unity Tools Depot, but here is a link from ciscounitytools.com - http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_MigrateSubscriberData.htm
Another doc to review, which I believe is still pertinent, can be found in this link - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/white/paper/mig/MigVM_UM.html#wp31050
It discusses how to move from voicemail only subscribers to unified messaging with caveats to watch out for.

Ginger

Ginger,
Thanks for the response.
For some reason MSM didn't work well with Exchange 2007. I guess it is not supported because I couldn't see any doc related to that in MSM.
Anyways I was able to move using COBRA for VM to UM users with Exchange 2007.
Thanks

MSM is on CiscoUnityTools and is supported.
http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_MSM.htm
I do not think it is a migration tool for vm to um though.
Were you thinkin of GSM? it works great but there is setup. E2k7 works

Randy,
I did use GSM for all UM users to move from old (4.x with E2k3) to new Unity server (5.x with E2k7) without any issues. Since this doesn't allow you to change alias I tried to use MSM to move those VM to UM users then I was able to do that with COBRA.
