When i upload the ivr recording to unity, the playback voice is crumpled however the recording is perfectly fine. Please suggest what can be the issue.

what kind of file did you upload? (wav,mp3...)
Can also please specify the Unity version you are running?

CCITT u-Law, 8 kHz, 8 bit mono for the WAV files. You can use Audacity to format it correctly.
or
You can have the individual can call into your voicemail box that is leaving the new recording. Then you download the message and uploaded. It will be formatted correctly.

hi Jason, we had recorded in the same way. When you hear the playback from computer, unity and external phone, it absolutely fine.
From internal phones, it was getting scrumbled.
The issue that i can think as of now is that of codec G.722
