Dear, all,
I have the follwoing intro:
CUCM 4.2(3)
Unity 4.2(1)
Integration type via SCCP (TSP)
Windows domain 2003
Unity server member of Windows 2003 domain
Corporate Exchange: 2003
Configuraton: VM (not UM)
Message Store type: Off-Box
At the very beginning I had an intention to install the Message Store On-Box.
You can see the preceding thread by visiting the link: http://forum.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&forum=Unified%20Communications%20and%20Video&topic=Unified%20Communications%20Applications&topicID=.ee835d2&fromOutline=&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Ddisplay_location%26location%3D.2cc15018
Now I want to use corporate Exchange 2003 to store voicemail messages,
and not to install Exchange on-box, on the Unity.
Cannot understand will it be UM configuration ?
I mean if the message store is the corporate Exchange server does my Unity configuration remain VM ?
Or if I use corporate Exchange server, Unity configuration automatically becomes UM ?
Please, advice.

You could use the default license file, but the system would be limited as follows.
Default License File
â¢10 languages
â¢2 RealSpeak text-to-speech (TTS) sessions
â¢10 mailboxes for one of the following subscriber types:
-Unified Messaging (UM) subscribers
-Voice Messaging (VM) subscribers
â¢10 Cisco Unity Inbox subscribers
â¢2 voice ports
â¢2 voice-recognition sessions
â¢30-second limit for messages
â¢The ability to integrate with any supported phone system

Brandon,
Do you mean to use the license file from NFR/Demo pack ?
If yes, will it be possible after we get appropriate customer
license file to remove free of charge licenses from the active
Unity configuration ? What is the method ? Will it require server reboot ?

You can use a demo license or use the default license on the Unity server. You will be able to upgrade it to the appropriate license and remove the demo/default license. According to the link below, this will require a reboot.
