Hi
I'm trying to understand how many VoiceMail only users with IMAP licenses can be supported on the latest 7845 MCS (MCS-7845-H2-ECS1)
This is with exchange on box and also off box.
NOTE: The client will be using IMAP client licenses to connect to the voice mail only enviroment.
So we need to know what number of VM users the
MCS 7845 latest(MCS-7845-H2-ECS1) will support XXXX VM users with IMAP + Exchange 2003 on the same MCS
MCS 7845 (MCS-7845-H2-ECS1)latest will support XXXX VM users with IMAP + Exchange 2003 off box
Where XXXX is the number of VM only users with IMAP supported
The link below doesn?t specify how many Unity VM users are supported with IMAP on the various MCS platforms
http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf/en/us/guest/products/ps2237/c1650/cdccont_0900aecd802132ef.pdf
Thanks
Allan

After further investigation
Unity 5.0 doesnt support IMAP when using VM only stacked. This means Exchange / Unity/ AD on the one box.
To support IMAP with VM only one needs to have the Message store of box and only Exchange is supported.
Unity talks MAPI to the of box exchange server /msg store and the client IMAP to the of box msg store
Cisco are looking at providing IMAP for Unity 5 when stacked.
IMAP is a huge CPU hog apparently Cisco testing is happening
Unity 5 Platform overlay 3 supports VM only 4000 on box Exchange 2000/2003 only no 2007 support for VM only
Unity 5 Platform overlay 3 supports VM only 7500 of box Exchange 2000/2003 only no 2007 support for VM only
For the record
The next release of unity and unity connection are going straight to version 7.

Nice infos Allan.
It's not so easy to find a lot for Unity VM only
