Upgrade Unity 5.0 to Unity 7.0 on same hardware, no failover

Hey guys,

I am planning an upgrade of our Cisco Unity 5.0 to Unity 7.0. I have just ordered the memory for our server to bring it up to speed on the hardware requirements.

The only documentation I have been able to find has been the original installation guides. These don't seem to address the upgrades very well. Isn't there a way to use the COBRAS tool when upgrading Unity to 7.0 on the same hardware server?

I've seen this done when installing a new server and migrating the subscriber info and configurations.

What documentation should I follow when doing this?

Any tips appreciated!!!!

Thanks in Advance,

-Jonathan

This is the upgrade guide we provide for this:

Upgrading Cisco Unity 4.x Software to the  Shipping 5.x Version

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/5x/upgrade/guide/ex/5xcuruge020.html

Whenever you see 5.X just think it's 5.X/7.X as the guide is the same.
