We are using VG310 gateways for analog Fax, Credit Card, Fire Alarm usage and found that the company that monitors the Fire Alarm lines have installed a SIP 204 Gateway in front of their monitoring system. Once they did this it has caused our Fire Alarm lines that are provided from our VG310 Gateways to show a communications error even though the line itself works. We have been told that if we disable T38 it will resolve the problem.
My question is, can T38 be disable on individual lines on a VG310 or does it have to be disable on the entire VG310 Gateway?
