viremail question

We have installed viewmail for unity 404. Customer were using third party voice mail called Callxpress. They said before they had the capability to edit the subject of the voicemail. they are wondering whether Viewmail has this feature. thanks

Hello -

Yes, customers can edit the Subject line. One note - we did have problems with Outlook 2000 clients and logged a TAC case that was resolved. The problem was client received error message from Outlook "Outlook has performed an illegal operation and will shut down immediately". This did not occur on Outlook XP or 2003 clients.

Solution:

1. Log in as the user experiencing problems. Stop Outlook.

2. Open a DOS command prompt.

3. CD to the directory where VMO is installed (e.g.

"C:\ProgramFiles\ViewMail")

4. Type in the following command (without

the quotes): "regsvr32 AvMMOCtrl.ocx"

5. Report if there were any errors while executing these two commands.

6. If there were no errors then close the command prompt. Restart Outlook.
