Want to upgrade the VCS x7.1 to VCS x8.5.3....

We have a VCS x7.1(Not VM) and want to upgrade it to VCS x8.5.3 directly.

Can we do this without any hardware upgrade?

Won't be a problem from a hardware perspective, but as always read the release notes before upgrading to a new version of software.
