What PCI slot should I install Voice card on MCS-7835I-3.0-ECS1?

Hi,

I will use MCS-7835I-3.0-ECS1 with D/120JCT-LS to install Unified Messaging system for Unity 4.0(4).

Becaue MCS-7835I-3.0-ECS1 is an IBM Platform, I am not sure which PCI Slots I should use for the voice card.

And is MCS-7835I-3.0-ECS1 the same as some of IBM x series? If it is, which one is should it be? IBM x342 or IBM x345?

If your D/120JCT-LS is the newer uPCI version then either of the two PCI-X Non-Hot-Plug 133MHz/64-bit Slots should work. As noted in the data sheet for that server (see link below), the remaining slots are half-height and will not work with Dialogic voice boards.

If your D/120JCT-LS is not uPCI then you'll need to add an expansion chassis.

Also, have a look at the Hardware section of the Install Guide for more info on PCI, uPCI, PCI-X slot selection and expansion chassis.
