WillCUCM and other Unified servers run on third party VM environments

I have been tasked with finding out if unified will run on other VMware environments other than the default Cisco systems. I have found the specs on the tech document of what they are expected from the cisco hardware but nothing of third party environments. Or at least missed them in the article any ideas or knowledge anyone can pass on?

ESXi is the only currently supported hypervisor. If you’re trying to extricate yourself from VMware take a look at Webex Calling Dedicated Instance: exact same CUCM & friends apps, just hosted by Cisco in their DC.

where looking for on prim alternatives. As our hard ware is on the end of life list over the next few years. does it have to be on Hyperflex? As Hyperflex is end of life but there is a Cisco migration to another product "Nutanix software".

In addition to what @Jaime Valencia suggested, take a look at the virtualization tables for CUCM 12.X and earlier . The new tables for v14 don't show specific specs for non-Cisco infrastructure, but earlier versions did and were supported. If you are looking to run CUCM v14 and/or later versions, however, as noted elsewhere ESXi is the only supported hypervisor.

For v12 one big consideration is support by TAC, and exactly which 3rd party infrastructure and specs matters a great deal in that regard.
