Customer is running VMware 5.1 with BE6K (CUCM/Unity Connection/Presence). Voice applications are 9.1
The Host A is on Customer site. Customer wants to move Current BE6K servers to a Host B in a Data Center (upgrading of UCS C server hardware).
Customer Customer has paid for all licenses for their software on HOST A and HOST B. Once Host B is up and running, Host A platform will be returned for Credit to Cisco. To move VMs from HOST A to HOST B we are thinking of using VMware VCenter Converter. Plan is to shut down VMs on HOST A, move them across MOE backbone to Data Center and load the VMs on HOST B. In Data Center we will have same IP Subnet as was at HOST A site. Once VMs are moved, turn up VMs on HOST B. To us it seems like a way of avoiding License hassles, no need to do back ups etc. Moving a BE6K from hardware platform to a upgraded hardware platform using VCenter Convertor in the way described, Would this be supported by Cisco TAC?

No

You can simply copy all the VM files (vmx, VMDK, NVRAM, etc) out from the server and then into the new storage, register them, and turn them on.
