Merge BE6K into CUCM Cluster - Licensing Implications

Hi,

We have a requirement to merge an existing BE6K cluster into an existing CUCM cluster.  Both are running 11.5 CUCM and Unity Connection with current SWSS contracts.  Licensing is mainly CUWL on both.   The BE6K will be decommissioned and the sites served from the CUCM cluster.

My question is about licence migration.  Can the BE6K licences simply be re-hosted to the CUCM cluster?  And if so then what needs to be done with the SWSS contract(s)?   Although the licences have the same part numbers in PLM, the chargeable product IDs for support purposes are different and with different prices.

Anyone been through this process recently who can comment?

To migrate licenses from BE6K to Enterprise CUCM, reach out to Cisco Licensing team at licensing@cisco.com or open a Cisco TAC case and they will help you from there. Make sure you have the active support contract handy.
