Hi,

maybe you have a routing problem.

To which IP address does the SIP trunk in CUCM point to?

On the CUBE you are routing the CUCM IP address via Gig1, but in voice-service-voip --> sip, your SIP bind uses interface Gig2.

Cause Code 38 would be "network out of order", which also points in this direction.

I’m currently using a single cube between 2 CUCMs. If this won’t work.

Should I have to have 2 cubes between site A and the pstn?

Hoping you’ve seen the diagram I built to give an idea about the topology?

But are those cm's in your diagramm in only 1 or are those 2 different clusters?

These are 2 separate clusters. One’s playing pstn role let’s say 911 destination for the call made from jabber site-A .

JabberA—>cmA—>G2cube-g1–>cmPSTN—>CIPCpstn

Calls show state dead on the cube itself. Not reaching to the pstn cm.

Then you have definitely a sip/ ip routing problem.

You have to different dial-peers / tenants with different bind source interface configuration.

With your current configuration, every call leaving cube will use interface gig1, even if your destination is located on a subnet e.g. behind gig2 or vice-versa.

You need a set of incoming / outgoing dial-peers with bind interface, that can reach cluster 1.

And another set of incoming / outgoing dial-peers with bind interface, that can reach cluster 2.

And the appropriate ip routes / locally connected subnets configured, so that CUBE can reach all the necessary subnets.

Now you’ve cleared my doubt about this. What I’m doing right now itself (in the next few minutes) creating a new cube to connect/bind/source.
To extend the topology in an ideal way, the call flow will be like

JabberA -> cmA -> cubeA -> cubePSTN -> cmPSTN -> cipcPSTN

Hoping this would work. Will keep you posted.

But you don't need 2 different cubes.

Just use 2 different interfaces on the cube, which are located in 2 different subnets (which you already have) and get the configuration straight.

i understand what you mean by one cube only.

the cube has 3 interfaces. 2 were talking about but the calls fail still.

i can only source one interface on the cube configuration......Am i correct ?

with the topology as i shared before i still get calls STATE-DEAD etc with no codec.

You can define the bind commands in the dial-peer configuration for example.

E.g.

dial-peer voice 100 voip
 ### incoming from cluster 1 ###
 incoming called-number 911$
 voice-class sip bind media source-interface gig1
 voice-class sip bind control source-interface gig1
 ...
!
dial-peer voice 200 voip
 ### outgoing to cluster 2 ###
 destination-pattern 911$
 voice-class sip bind media source-interface gig2
 voice-class sip bind control source-interface gig2 session target ipv4:<ip cluster2>
 ...

And also un-configure the bind commands in voice-service-voip --> sip.

Assuming your IP routing is working, that should do the trick for you.

If not, try pinging the CUCM's with source interface (e.g. ping 10.10.10.10 source gig1)

I guess you should check out some documentation on how to configure CUBE, dial-peers, tenants, dial-peer matching, ... some basic knowledge.
