Adding new chassis - Unsupported Connectivity

I currently have 3 chassis fully connected and in production. We maxed out on blade slots so I added a 4th chassis. I configured each new port on the FIs (6332) for server traffic and cabled the chassis. Chassis went through discovery process but Im seeing errors on the new chassis. Also my hybrid display is showing red links from FI to IOM. The new IOM are 2304V2 where my other chassis IOM are just 2304. The ports on the FI do not show any bang lights and the ports show up.

The errors Im seeing on the new chassis are

Configuration Error:fabric-unsupported-conn
iocard-inaccessible
iocard-inoperable
Configuration State:

Unsupported Connectivity

How many links do you have per IOM on this particular chassis?

You should be able to re-ack each individual IOM, or the chassis.

This will not impact other chassis.

What version is your UCSM running?

in the 2304 spec sheet I see a note:

UCS-IOM-2304V2 requires Cisco UCS Manager 4.0(4) or later

Kirk...

That is a good question and I should have put that in the comments we are currently on UCSM 4.2, we went to 4.2 to support the new M6 blades.

What qsfp's are in use?  Something that's listed in https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-6300-series-fabric-interconnects/datasheet-c78-675243.html#TransceiverandCableSupport I'm assuming?

Also, what is your chassis/fex discovery policy? 1 link, 2 links, etc?

Kirk...

My Chassis/fex policy is set to 2 links, port channel, 40g

Im wondering if doing a reack of the IOM in the new chassis may clear up the errors. Do you know if there is any impact to the other chassis that are currently in production? I would only want to impact this particular chassis.

Here is the model of the QFSP QSFP-H40G-AOC10M

Thanks Kirk, not sure what happened the first time during discovery but the reack worked like a charm and the chassis is connected.

Do you happen to know if the FI needs a port license? My FI shows the ports are up but it says License grace period 0
