If anyone has gotten the disk perfomance between the bare-metal windows server and an XIV working would you kindly share how?
Thanks,
Tom

We are experiencing the same performance issues using VMWare 5.0.
It has been suggested we change from the M81KR VIC to the M772KR-Q CNA.

Tom,
When you say disk performance, I would assume this local disk. If you're referring to remote LUN performance that's a different story. Since you're talking about swapping the CNA I take it you're referencing an FC Storage LUN - correct?
Can you give more specifics on the performance #'s you're seeing? Some benchmarks would really help.
Swapping the VIC for the 2nd Gen Qlogic CNA is only giving you a faster FC ASIC (8Gb/s vs. 4Gb/s on the VIC). This wouldn't account for your issue as you say there's a difference between bare metal and Hypervisors when using the VIC...
Other details we need:
-Version of UCSM (including CIMC, BIOS and adapter FW versions)
-OS Driver versions (fnic & enic)
Regards,
Robert
