Hi everyone,
I purchased two new B200-M3 blades and they are failing to discover when I'm downgrading the firmware on them. It came with a 3.1(1e) package and I'm trying to downgrade to my infrastructure at 2.1(1a).

Hey Ledward,
According to the following doc, there is a minimum requirements for B200 M3 blade Running Intel E5-2600 Series CPUs.
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/hw/CPU/IVB/install/IVB-B.html#97180
Are you running B200-M3 with 2 CPU's if that is the case then you will need a firmware infrastructure of at least 2.1(3a) for them to be recognizable.
Please let me know if this fixes your issue.

Hi
I'm shocked to see that you are still running 2.1.1a, released November 16th 2012 !!!
Do you have any reason not to upgrade ?
Best practise is to update UCS firmware at least once per year. The longer you wait, the more trouble you will have !
According to the 2.1.1a release notes:
B200 M1, M2, and M3 |
minimum / recommended release.
