I am having a problem getting boot from SAN working. I have a UCS B series. I have configured fiber channel and it is up and working. If I boot from a vmware CD, I can see the SAN and install to the proper LUN. When I try to setup the system to boot from it, I get an access failure. Any ideas?

Managed to find a way to change the nwwn, but made no difference:

did you check the storage interop matrix ?
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/servers-unified-computing/interoperability.html#~storage
I don't see this array on the list ?
I would open a TAC case ! You need a detailed FC trace !

Actual Boot order doesn't show any lun ?
Do you have 2 separate fabrics (2 MDS, dual controller storage).
Could it be, that the boot policy references the wrong fabric pwwn ?
Do you see any errors on MDS ? show logging log....
