brocade showing fabA wwpns

I am not sure why my 1st brocade switch is showing the wwpns of fabric B wwpns. It should be showing only the fab A wwpns. I have vhba templates for A and B and A should be zoned to vsanA and B should be zoned to vsanB.

However, the wwpns for B are being seen on fabA and vice versa

Tony,

For a simple test SSH to the Fabric Interconnect (FI), connect to the NXOS context (connect nxos) then issue:

show npv flogi-table

This will show you all the WWPN's that are exiting that particular FI.  Atfer you display those, connect to the other FI and do the same.

What's likely happening is you have an ISL between your Brocades which is replicating your WWPN.  Do you have any "E" ports connect between the two Brocades?

Regards,

Robert

Yes you are right. I check the cabling and looks like thee was one FC cable going from FI1 to the dcx2 and FI2 to dcx1. That explains why on the dcx1 it as seeing wwpnB pools and vice versa.

Thanks

The ports the FI connects to the brocade, should they be F or E port or both? I see both are checked. NPIV looks like by default its enabled.
